Cucumber Mint Raita


  • Curd – 2 Cups
  • Mint Leaves – 1 Tbsp
  • Cucumber – 1 (small)
  • Onion – 1/2 cube (optional)
  • Jeera powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Dhaniya powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Black Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Chilli Powder – a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar – 1 tsp (optional – adjust according to taste)
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp (Skip if the curd is sour)

Finely chop Cucumber, Mint Leaves, Onion and whisk the curd in a bowl (curd should be thick, strain the curd if there is excess water). Add the chopped cucumber, mint and onion to the curd and give a good mix. Add lemon juice and the dry ingredients (Jeera powder, Dhaniya powder, Black Pepper powder, salt, chilli powder, sugar) to the curd mixture, mix well and leave the mixture for about ten minutes to get the good flavor of mint and spices added.
